About Mrtn
What is Mrtn?
Mrtn is a sales copilot for macOS. It notices when a call starts, transcribes both sides live in more than 60 languages and coaches you through your playbook while you talk. After the call it writes the summary, follow-up email, CRM note and scorecard. It is made by StarApps BV in Gent, Belgium.
What does Mrtn cost?
Mrtn is in private beta, and there is no public price yet. During the pilot, the fees and the call minutes included are agreed in writing with each organisation. To get access, leave your email at mrtn.tech or write to hello@mrtn.tech, and we'll send you a download link as soon as there's a seat.
What do I need to run it?
A Mac with macOS 14.2 or later, Apple silicon or Intel, and an invitation from your organisation. Sign in once: no API keys, nothing to configure.
On a call
How does Mrtn work on a call?
Mrtn notices when your call app starts using the microphone, asks whether to record (or just starts) and captures your microphone and the call's audio on your Mac. A floating overlay shows the live transcript and nudges you on what to mention, what to ask and how to handle the objection you just heard, and ticks off your playbook as you go. When the call ends, Mrtn writes the summary, scorecard, follow-up email and CRM note, with the next actions ready for you to approve.
Does Mrtn join my meeting as a bot?
No. It runs on your Mac and records your microphone and the call's audio directly, so there's no extra participant in Zoom, Teams or Meet.
Which call apps does it work with?
Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, Slack huddles and more, such as GoTo Meeting, RingCentral, Aircall, Dialpad, FaceTime and Whereby. Mrtn notices when one starts using your microphone, asks whether to record (or just starts), and stops when the call ends.
Which languages does it understand?
More than 60, including calls that switch between languages mid-sentence. Coaching and summaries come in the language you prefer.
Can the people on the call see Mrtn when I share my screen?
No. The overlay floats over every app, Space and full-screen call, and is left out of screen sharing by default.
What is a playbook?
Your way of running a call, in plain YAML: talking points, questions, a qualification framework such as MEDDICC or BANT, objections and battlecards. Keywords tick items off instantly in any language, and Mrtn catches the paraphrases too. Mrtn can also make a playbook from one of your calls, and your organisation's playbooks reach every Mac on the team.
Does Mrtn work with my CRM and other tools?
Yes. Connect your CRM, calendar, email and docs through MCP. Lookups run on their own during the call; anything that changes data waits for your click. After each call Mrtn writes a CRM note for you.
Can my AI assistant read my Mrtn calls?
Yes: Mrtn has its own MCP server, at https://mcp.mrtn.tech/mcp. Connect it to any AI app that supports remote MCP servers, sign in with your Mrtn account, and the app can search your calls, read their transcripts, summaries and playbooks, and label or share a call when you ask. It sees only what you can see in Mrtn, and your admin can see, limit or revoke every connected app.
Does it work for in-person meetings?
Yes. Drop a recording of a meeting on Mrtn, or use File › Import Recording…, and it is transcribed and summarised like a call. A Limitless Pendant can send its recordings to Mrtn too. When several people spoke into one microphone, Mrtn tells the voices apart after the meeting and asks which one is you.
Does Mrtn work with the Limitless Pendant?
Yes. Mrtn connects to your Limitless Pendant over Bluetooth and transfers its recordings to your Mac, and the ones you choose become in-person meetings: transcribed, summarised and scored like your calls. You need no Limitless account, and nothing goes to Limitless or Meta. mrtn.tech/limitless-pendant has the details.
Privacy and data
Does Mrtn record audio, and where is my data kept?
Recordings stay on your Mac. Live audio streams straight from your Mac to transcription in the EU, and our servers never store it. Transcripts, summaries and follow-ups are stored in the EU, and shared with your team only when you choose to.
Is Mrtn GDPR-compliant? Is my data kept in the EU?
Mrtn is built for the GDPR. Your organisation is the controller of its call data and StarApps processes it on its behalf, under a data processing agreement. Transcription runs in the EU, and transcripts, summaries and playbooks are stored in the EU. Two things leave the EU, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework: the transcript excerpts sent to an AI model provider to coach you and write summaries (never used for training), and your name, email, organisation and role for sign-in. Call results are deleted from Mrtn's servers after your organisation's retention period, and on request we help your organisation export or erase a person's data across its calls. The privacy policy has the details.
Is it legal to record my calls?
That depends on where you and the people you call are. Many places require everyone's consent; playbooks can remind you to ask before Mrtn starts recording.
Teams
How do teams share calls in Mrtn?
Mrtn is set up for a whole organisation: admins invite people and choose who is an admin. After each call, Mrtn asks whether to share it with your team, or follows the sharing rules you set per kind of call. Colleagues find shared calls, with their transcript, summary and follow-ups, under Team calls in the app. The organisation's playbooks reach every Mac on the team.
Can my colleagues or my manager see all my calls?
No. A call you haven't shared is yours alone: colleagues, admins included, see it only once you share it.
